UNeGov.net Schools aim at developing human and organizational capacity towards developing Electronic Governance and carrying out Public Sector Reform in a country developing. They comprise of lectures by international experts and practitioners and engage the audience through experience sharing and discussions, thus putting international best practices in the local context.

The Leadership School on Electronic Governance is a one day programme particularly aimed at senior officials of developing countries, which aims to build leadership capacity for Electronic Governance development. Specifically, the school presents and discussses the fundamental concepts and reasons for Electronic Governance and presents the key areas of strategic planning and the organizational and technical structures required for Electronic Governance. The school also provides a medium for international and local experience sharing on e-Government development in general and within the framework of the UNeGov.net Community of Practice in particular. The Foundations School is generally comprised of three modules:

  1. Concepts: Introduction to Electronic Governance
    What is Eletronic Governace?
  2. Planning: Strategic Planning for e-Governance
    How to realize the vision of e-Governance?
  3. Organization: Engineering Structures and Processes for e-Governance
    How can organizations effectively use e-Governance?
