Dr. Tomasz Janowski, Head of the Center for Electronic Governance and Senior Research Fellow of UNU-IIST delivered a series of lectures about Electronic Governance (EGOV) in Shanghai, China during 13 and 14 November 2012. The lectures were organized by the Department of Public Administration, School of International Relations and Public Affairs at Fudan University, part of the Global e-Governance course jointly taught by Dr Lei Zheng from Fudan University and Dr. Tomasz Janowski.

The lectures covered five topics - Introduction to EGOV, Global EGOV Trends, Policy-Driven EGOV, EGOV Strategy and Alignment, and EGOV-Enabled Organizational Transformation - all adapted from the executive training normally taught to government practitioners by the UNU-IIST Center for Electronic Governance.

The audience comprised doctoral and master students in public administration, political sciences and international affairs from China, Korea, Japan and USA.

The next series of lectures is planned for this group and for the students enrolled on the Master Programme in Public Administration, mostly Chinese government officials, in early spring 2013.
