Effective and efficient utilization of IT requires alignment of IT strategies with the organizational strategies. The Strategic Management course aims to introduce the concepts of strategic alignment, provide a practical alignment process for aligning organizational and IT strategies and present the Strategy Alignment Toolkit "Public Administration Reform and E-Government Program in Macao SAR: Strategic Alignment Toolkit" and associated tools developed by the Center for Electronic Governance at UNU-IIST. In addition, the course also provides a case study demonstrating the application of the Strategic Alignment Toolkit.
